On September 2nd 2009 the City of Albany had it's third shooting murder within a period of only 21 days
In the latest shooting, an 18 year-old was found dead after being shot in the chest, and was found on Magnolia Terrace off Delaware Avenue in the City of Albany. http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=837845 This is the third gun murder in Albany in less than a month. On August 13th 32 year-old Henry Ferrell was shot to death at 158 Western Avenue just west of Washington Park in the City of Albany. On August 30th 27 year-old Zechariah Banks was shot to death at 327 Second Street in Albany's West Hill neighborhood. On September 2nd 18 year-old Kyleal Avery was found shot to death around 17 Magnolia Terrace in the Delaware Avenue neighborhood of Albany. The murder of 18 year-old Avery is Albany's sixth murder of 2009. There were ten murders in Albany in 2008. In 2008 Albany had a higher homicide rate than New York City. Don't believe your lying eyes, just keep repeating what Hizzoner and APD Chief Jimmy Tuffey want you to believe when they keep desperately blurting 'violent crime is down'. Huummmmmm?
