You don't get much more biased and wingnutty than the editorial pages of the WSJ. Today they have a error filled pro charter school piece that, like the rest of their stuff on things like foreign policy and the economy, is shite. Who do they get a nice pull quote from to help make their case? Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings.

Jennings has always pretended to be neutral on the dumping of so-called "charter" schools on Albany.  Here is proof that he is behind the privatizing of the Albany school system.  If he didn't approve of privatization, he wouldn't praise it.  And he could certainly stop it with a single word.

Meanwhile, concerning this proposed school tax cap by Governor Patterson.  Please note that this tax cap does NOT apply to "charter" schools.  The local taxpayers have to subsidize these scam schools no matter what.
