I give the Times Union credit for printing this letter. Its from an astute citizen doing their job for them. I use to write letters to the TU like this but they never printed them which is why I started this site. My mom always said I should use less profanity if I wanted them printed. Perhaps. I'm not sure how this person held back in this case.
Your Aug. 11 editorial "GOP mud bath" was a major disservice to your readers.

I find it incredulous that the only thing you found offensive was the personal garbage spewed forth by both Republican senatorial candidates, Kathleen Troia McFarland and John Spencer, when the truly frightening thing was their response to the moderator's question, "Would you attack Iran should they not cease their atomic activities?" Both, without question, emphatically answered yes.
Nothing to see here. Move along. Lookie over there! A blonde girl on TV!
May neither Mrs. McFarland nor Mr. Spencer ever see the halls of Congress. Evidently the disasters created by this President, Iraq, the deficit totaling billions, and our tenuous position in the world mean nothing. Their statements should have been printed in large black print
Yippeekaiyo! Sanity!!
