Frequently Asked Questions

This is the FAQ for Democracy In Albany.

Who is behind DIA?

DIA was started by a concerned citizen of Albany. The lack of political coverage in the local media combined with the heated political times of 2004's national election lead/drove said concerned citizen to do something, anything. And here we are.

Why are you anonymous? Are you scared?

Perhaps.

What makes you think your opinions are worth reading? Are you some type of egomaniac?

Yes.

This site is confusing. I don't understand how to use it or what all these things mean?

This is a Scoop based site. It takes a little getting used to but it has a lot of cool functions. If you have specific questions, e-mail me. I'm still learning how to use the whole thing myself.

I tried to sign up but you never sent me a password!! What's up?

Scoop doesn't like AOL. Odds are you have an AOL account. You can either do the sensible thing and cancel your AOL account and get a different service provider OR you can just e-mail DIA and we will try to hook you up. Its your choice.

You seem to not like Jerry Jennings' style of fiscal management. Do you not like disasters? Are you the kind of person who doesn't slow down to rubberneck at car accidents?

I am not a fan of fiscal disasters like the one Jennings is presiding over.

Do you arm wrestle?

Not professionally.

What is the best bar in Albany?

When my study is completed, you will be the first to know.
